Did you know that I make lots of things that never make it to my Etsy store for resale? I do lots of research, make things in small batches and have friends and family test for me. Sometimes I make special edition items and sell them to individual clients in bulk and never offer the item to other clients. I also make things just for my own personal use or for the children of my best friend. Their current favorite item bath item is a little product that I've named "Snowball in a Jar". I'm thinking about offering it to the public...
My poor husband is my latest test subject. I made another massage oil and I used it on him to test for fluidity, scent saturation and the best one( he doesn't realize that I look for this too) allergic reactions. I'm happy to say that I made a "man friendly" scent. It's woodsy and fresh. When I say "Woodsy" I do not in any way mean it smells of pine trees. Blending essential oils to achieve and certain kind of scent is a wee bit tricky, not to mention expensive. I may or may not end up offering massage oils for sale in my etsy shop but it's all on the road of product development.

Take time for yourself
I admit up front, I go to bed early because I wake up early, sometimes really early. But in those early morning hours before the rest of my family is awake, it's so peaceful. I can treat myself to little things, like a long soak in tub, a facial or even be able to give myself a mani/pedi. If I'm really lucky, I get all of the above! But most of all, it's about taking time for myself.
So my friends, make sure to take time out for yourselves! This goes for the guy friends as much as for my girlfriends!

Product testing
I woke up to a nice thick layer of freshly fallen snow and another snow bound work from home day for my husband. I instantly declared that it's "Spa Day at Home", made myself a pitcher of cucumber water and planned my morning!
Now for the hard part, which products to use for my Spa Day? I decided to go with my Rose Petal Mineral Bath and my Hand Milled Rose Petal Soap and I'd round it out my my Sea Clay dry Salt Scrub and then use my Rose Infused Mango Body Butter.
After my bath I moved on to my face: washing it with my Spa Bar, and id decided to give myself a facial using my Cocoa Esspreso facial mask (I use yogurt for my mixing medium). I even went as far as setting a timer and putting cucumber slices on my eyelids. I relaxed while listening to soothing music being played that I picked out for such occasions. Later on I plan to use my Pink Mani/Pedi Salt Scrub and then I'll paint my nails!
I feel happy and relaxed, which is a good thing as now the snow is rapidly falling and it's coming down sideways. So what if it's another snow day! I say, take the time to pamper yourself, your body and your mental wellbeing will thank you for it! Now on a happy note, I do smell wonderful and so can you!

The scent of Roses is in the air
Roses are the embodiment of love. I love to create things with certain scents, colors and textures in mind. This morning I awoke to my head being filled with Roses. The dream I had was so powerful, I could swear that I could smell roses when I woke up.
So today I'm working with Rose, that flower and scent that is forever attached to romance and love. I'll be working with rose essential oil and rose petals to create something extra special for Valentine Day.
Have you been to my etsy store to see my Rose infused bath products??? I'd have a few different products available but will be adding more very soon!

Tropical Paradise at Home
Alright, We can't escape the cold BUT we can make it feel like a tropical paradise within our homes. How? I'm not talking about turning up the thermostat, but rather with Body Butters, Body Scrubs, Soaps and Bath Soak products that remind us of Tropical Places.
On a family vacation we took years ago to we went on a tour of a botanical garden. As I stood there with my eyes closed, the scents of the various tropical flowers wafting through the air had me feeling energized and happy. I want to recreate that kind of thing for customers. To be able to sit back and relax in a bathtub with one of my products, close your eyes and let the scents take you to someplace warm and sunny.

Mango Body Butter
What does the winter weather do to Your skin? It dries it out! Did you know that I make Body Butter? I also make lotion bars too, but it's a thing I'll make on "special request only" and only ship out during the colder months due to their melting properties. Feel free to ask me about prices.
Today I made a lovely Mango & Rose body butter and let me tell you about how my skin drinks it up! Because I use only natural organic ingredients, it can also be used on your face. Even though I have friends around the USA that I periodically send samples of new products to try out and give me honest feed back on, I'm still the main tester of my products and I'm here to say that, yes, I use it every single day on my face and body.

It's snowing, so why not take a bath?
Snow, snow and more snow is coming our way. My thoughts on this are "there's nothing we can do about it, so why not take a soak in the tub?". I think that people need to just just roll with it. We have no control over what Mother Nature is dishes out to us, so why not just take time to enjoy it. I plan on building a snowman once the blizzard part is over (I'll share pictures later after the fact), then taking a nice warm soak in my bathtub with some of my Citrus Sunshine mineral bath. To make it seem as if I'm at a day spa and to give myself a more luxurious experience, I'm going to have a pitcher of cucumber water nearby to stay hydrated and of course I'll use a neck pillow. The cherry on the top will be the book I'll be reading, it'll be the latest novel by one of my favorite authors.

Sea Clay & Salt Dry Body Scrub
We're up to 5 1/2 inches of heavy wet snow here in my little part of Massachusetts. With cold surrounding me everywhere I look, I've decided to make my own kind of sunshine!
I just made the most delicious Sea Clay & Salt Dry Body Scrub! With wonderful ingredients like organic poppy seeds and salt from the Kalahari Desert for exfoliation plus some organic sea clay for its purification properties- it's an instant pick me up! It's got a fantastic scent of the sea.

Rose Petal Garden Bath Soak
I've had Roses on the brain for the past couple of days. So with Roses in mind I created this lovely Rose Petal bath soak. With all kinds of yummy organic-y goodness, it'll make you think that your in a rose garden. The scent of this bath soak reminds me of my favorite Rose Garden when we lived in England. We would visit Blenheim Palace at various times throughout the year. On one such visit in the summer, the famous Rose Gardens were open. It was so amazing. I could actually smell the roses before I saw the gardens. It's an earthy rose scent that's not overly floral. |

Chasing away the winter blues
Winter weather and it's short days can get a bit tedious. It's this time of year that I like to work with all of the lights on and work with things that makes me think of warm sunny days, be it scents or colors. This weekend I've been working hard at making/creating a delightful lightly citrus scented soap. The scent reminds me of ginger ale. The color is a happy byproduct of the essential oils that I used to create the scent-sweet deal there! It's still kinda moist and needs some curing time. Look for it in my etsy shop in a few weeks!

Cookie Crumble Foaming Sugar Scrub
Taking care of yourself starts on the outside! I use organic ingredients to create my yummy Cookie Crumble Foaming Sugar Scrub. With hints of almond, vanilla and coconut and the texture of crumbly cookie dough, this sugar scrub will leave your skin feeling silky and nourished.
Hello Everyone!
Well I did it, last November I took a hobby that I dearly love and turned it into a business. What is it you wonder? I make bath products; all kinds of bath soaks , fizzy bath bombs and of course soap! I also sell handmade fabric items like make-up brush rolls, infinity scarves along with the occasional handbag and make-up bag.
I'll take you through my creative process and tell you more of what drives me to design and make the things that I do. I find beauty and inspiration all around me. It's a sad day indeed if I say that I'm bored and that there's nothing to do as there is ALWAYS something to do!
